This Savage Song
by Victoria Schwab
Series: Monsters of Verity #1
Published by: Greenwillow Books
July 5th, 2016
Genre: Young Adult
Format: eBook
Source: Purchased
Rating: 5 Stars

There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from acclaimed author Victoria Schwab, a young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books, This Savage Song is a must-have for fans of Holly Black, Maggie Stiefvater, and Laini Taylor.

Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives. In This Savage Song, Victoria Schwab creates a gritty, seething metropolis, one worthy of being compared to Gotham and to the four versions of London in her critically acclaimed fantasy for adults, A Darker Shade of Magic. Her heroes will face monsters intent on destroying them from every side—including the monsters within.

I got this by a recommendation of my friend. Since you start this book, you get involved in the story of monsters, avengers and sinners. I loved it, from the beginning of story, to how it develops. I started it until I finished it, I couldn't drop it, I had to come with the excuse one last chapter and I am going to sleep. You don't know which is good and which is bad, until you read it entirely. Avengers Angels or monsters is what lurks in the city V? That it is what you need to discover with this book.

This story is based on Kate and August one wanting to imitate the monster that has as an example and another wanting to be what never will be able to be: a human being.

This is a story with a lot of action and a lot adventure. If you are a mega fan of twilight and Romeo and Juliet, because there is no doubt that the author was inspired by these stories, this is without a doubt your history and if you are not you will have to read this story you will be surprised because it will be one of your favorites this year, have you already read it? leave us your comments on your opinions for this book.

There is no doubt that this book has became one of my favorites for this year: because the story, drama, characters and about the magnificent world that the author has created. This book is develops around a world where monsters are the protagonists and where living and keeping you safe is the main theme in this story. You really will love it! I already bought the second book.

Love Letters to the Dead
by Ava Dellaira
Published by: Brilliance Audio
April 1, 2014
Genre: Young Adult
Format: Audiobook
Source: Purchased
Rating: 5 Stars

It begins as an assignment for English class: Write a letter to a dead person.
Laurel chooses Kurt Cobain because her sister, May, loved him. And he died young, just like May. Soon, Laurel has a notebook full of letters to the dead - to people like Janis Joplin, Heath Ledger, Amelia Earhart, and Amy Winehouse - though she never gives a single one of them to her teacher. She writes about starting high school, navigating the choppy waters of new friendships, learning to live with her splintering family, falling in love for the first time, and, most important, trying to grieve for May. But how do you mourn for someone you haven't forgiven?
It's not until Laurel has written the truth about what happened to herself that she can finally accept what happened to May. And only when Laurel has begun to see her sister as the person she was - lovely and amazing and deeply flawed - can she truly start to discover her own path.
In a voice that's as lyrical and as true as a favorite song, Ava Dellaira writes about one girl's journey through life's challenges with a haunting and often heartbreaking beauty.

First of all, I would like to apologize for not putting it in the review of a book last week. But I was dealing with some news story from Puerto Rico, which had me very worried and a little sad. The news was that my mother found another mass that might or might not be cancer. Never in my life have I felt so powerless. I, who reside in the United States, receive news as this one falls apart. She is a survivor of breast cancer and liver cancer for more than 20 years. The good news is that later this week she received more results from the biopsy, and it is not cancer. However she still needs surgery, but despite all for me this is great news.

Returning to the subject of books, this book has been published for several years, more precisely in 2014, and as always was in my TBR. As my mood took me to the point that I was a little melancholy for the news that I received. This book, what can I say about this book ... It is not something that is used to. The point from which it is counted is through letters. Not as always we see that it is a person we are used to. I love him in that aspect to begin with. It is a sad story but at the same time of courage and of many willpower.

It is not easy to be at a point where you just follow by inertia. Where everything seems to be wrong and you have to put a smile on your face even if everything is wrong in your life. Where you have to smile so as not to worry other people. This book is great, it's very emotional. I cried like I did not cry with a book. I highly recommend it and not only because it makes you depressed because you believe me will make you cry, but because it has a story to tell and which we have to learn.

With this been said I want to thank the people who care and show interest in these things. And some last words from the bottom of my heart fuck cancer, my prayers to all that families which are going through this. And for those families that passed and are going through as the story of this book. You can get it for free when you subscribe to audible.

As the threads of fate weave together at last, all must fight, if they are to have a chance at a future. Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever in the explosive final chapter of the Throne of Glass series.

I was expecting this book so much, so I put away my TBR list. Is not like I haven’t done it before. Since I started this audiobook, I was very addicted to him. Seriously, even in my car, I can now "read" and drive. I felt so multitasking. Ahem, because you already know how to drive and read. But continuing with the review. *sigh*

This novel, is a novel. I super love it! It was the perfect final fucking !! This author is a fricking genius. That final!!! Ok, ok let stopped with love, but is because I really LOVE IT!

The novel is from the point of view of many characters. Mainly from Aeilin, Rowan, Chaol, Yrene, Manon, Dorian, Nesryn, Aedion and Lysandra. I really love him. This is one of the stories that give another context to fantasy novels. It's a perfect ending, just perfect.

This story is one of those stories that deserve to be taken to the big screen. And if so, please do not edit it as you always do with good things. Once again my slow applause and my ovations for this author. * Here I come again quoting Grey's Anatomy *. Here is the link so you can hear this beautiful story.

Christmas at Tiffany’s
by Karen Swan
Published by: Macmillan Digital Audio
November 2, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Format: Audiobook
Source: Purchased
Rating: 4 Stars

Christmas at Tiffany's is an exciting, globe-trotting story of friendship and romance from Karen Swan.
Cassie settled down too young, marrying her first serious boyfriend. Now, 10 years later, she is betrayed and broken. With her marriage in tatters and no career or home of her own, she needs to work out where she belongs in the world and who she really is.
So begins a yearlong trial as Cassie leaves her sheltered life in rural Scotland to stay with each of her best friends in the most glamorous cities in the world: New York, Paris, and London. Exchanging grouse moor and mousy hair for low-carb diets and high-end highlights, Cassie tries on each city for size as she attempts to track down the life she was supposed to have been leading, and with it the man who was supposed to love her all along.
Christmas at Tiffany's is followed by the captivating sequel, Summer at Tiffany's.

Oh, what can I say about this novel? The reality is that I did not have many expectations, because of the fiasco of last week, I have taken to read first and not to be carried away by the cover. Since we are talking about the cover, it is not beautiful, this is the image that crosses my mind when I think about Christmas.

And since I'm a little busy at work, I better listen to it, so I work and listen to a book (I felt so multitasking doing this way, and even better I got paid in the meanwhile too, LOL). I do not know who came up with the idea of audiobooks, but he or she is a damn genius.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS. Ejem, since November, began I put up my Christmas tree already. I am total freaky about Christmas. My husband tells me "for God's sake, has not passed thanksgiving yet and you're already with Christmas". I say "If you do not want to sleep with the dog, better not even start" (just in case you wonder we do not have a dog).

Let's talk about the protagonist, her name is Cassie, and god, there were moments that made me desperate. But throughout the novel, we can see an evolution of it. The reality is that I loved that the author did it this way. It was like the metamorphosis of a butterfly. The truth is that I love this character. Thank god that she really count with true friends, who helped to go through the treasury and lies.

Henry is our male protagonist. Ahh, I sighed for him from the first list he gave to Cassie, (they have to read it to know the lists). He contributed a lot to Cassie's transformation.

The reality is that once again can not trust those who say they call themselves best friends with your partners or significant others. Always in life, we have admirers who, instead of shining with their own light, want to shine by extinguishing that of others. After that poetic moment I gave you, I recommend this novel.

I downloaded with the audiobook in the Audible app. Amazon is offering 30 days of free trial and 2 books totally free. Even if you cancel after the trial, the books are yours to keep. Here I leave the link down below so you can go and download the app and the book. I hope to hear your opinions.

Since I  love so much Christmas, I am thinking about making a book giveaway. What do you guys think? Let me know in your comments that books seemed interesting to have. Kisses and see you next week with more details.

Storm
by Nina Levine
Series: Storm MC (#1)
Published by: Nina Levine
November 20, 2013
Genre: Romance Suspense
Format: eBook
Source: Kindle Unlimited
Rating: 2 Stars

     Dirty talking biker alert...
These bikers go hard and love even harder.
WARNING: The Storm MC are addictive.
Madison Cole's family is the Storm Motorcycle Club. Her father is the President and her brother is the VP. She grew up surrounded by bikers, crime and violence. Two years ago she walked away from her family and the world they live in. Her soul was shattered, her heart was broken and she had an addiction she couldn't shake. She picked up the pieces and put herself back together. Now her family wants her back. The club is being threatened and they send a club member to return her home to safety--the one person that could destroy everything she has worked so hard to build.
Jason Reilly has sacrificed a lot for the motorcycle club he calls family. Two years ago he made the biggest sacrifice of all--he gave up the woman he loved for them. Now he is being sent to bring her back and he is conflicted. He thought he was over her but discovers their connection is as strong as ever. Their love was all-consuming, passionate and fiery. It was also their undoing and he doesn't know if either of them is strong enough to battle the demons that ripped them apart, to find love again.
Madison and Jason are brought back together by a force out of their control, one that pushes them to a breaking point. Can they overcome their past and discover a love worth fighting for or will the harsh reality of their world finally and completely break them both?

I saw this series of books in my Kindle Unlimited, and it was free, so hell yes I am going to read it. So I read the reviews a little, to see if encouraged me to read it (It's not like TBR is not empty, bah, I have a lot). However, it caught my attention. I wanted something exciting, spicy and a little illegal.

With all the pain in the world, it seems to me that they should not have published this series. I know it sounds a little harsh from me to say it, but it seemed out of context and without any order. Very predictable and a lot drama going on and all of that got a little bit of annoying. And I can't believe there are 8 of this books.

We are going start for the protagonist Madison, she is an alcoholic, who left her city because she wanted to be out of the problems of her father's MC. Who in my opinion was an understandable situation? Then out of nowhere, she had to return because her best friend was killed and I said it was because the one they killed did not want to know anything about her. But I do not want to give prominence to that. You would say Pia is normal even if they do not speak she wants to go back, but the way the author put it was pretty stupid.

The protagonist Jason or J as they call it seemed like another copy of other novels I read. First, because he has problems (normal) but does not know how to handle Madi and treats her like shit. So that she later is behind him as a puppy, when one of the reasons that fell into alcoholism was the.

It seemed to me that the author had an idea, but she did not know how to project it. I jump from one problem to another and then to another. I was really disappointed with this novel because I expected more, with this series. And you may say why I gave her this a 2, well I loved the cover (I have kinda fetish for covers). I do not know Madeline Sheehan ruin me for all the biker novels. That series of books have no comparison, let me know if you want to hear about them. Here I leave the link for those who have Kindle Unlimited can read and can judge for yourself and let me know if you do not share my opinion. Also, I am going to leave the link for THE BEST MC NOVELS I ever read, you can tell me later how that went because I want to hear it. See ya till next week.

Paper Princess
by Erin Watt
Series: The Royal Series (#1)
Published by: Timeout LLC
April 3, 2016
Genre: Young Adult
Format: eBook
Source: Purchased
Rating: 3.5 Stars

From strip clubs and truck stops to southern coast mansions and prep schools, one girl tries to stay true to herself.
     These Royals will ruin you…
Ella Harper is a survivor—a pragmatic optimist. She’s spent her whole life moving from town to town with her flighty mother, struggling to make ends meet and believing that someday she’ll climb out of the gutter. After her mother’s death, Ella is truly alone.
Until Callum Royal appears, plucking Ella out of poverty and tossing her into his posh mansion among his five sons who all hate her. Each Royal boy is more magnetic than the last, but none as captivating as Reed Royal, the boy who is determined to send her back to the slums she came from.
Reed doesn’t want her. He says she doesn’t belong with the Royals.
     He might be right.
Wealth. Excess. Deception. It’s like nothing Ella has ever experienced, and if she’s going to survive her time in the Royal palace, she’ll need to learn to issue her own Royal decrees.

I saw this book by chance in one of the profiles of my friends at Goodreads. Curious as always, I read the introduction and it caught my attention. While reading this book I returned to Amazon to verify that I had read young adult somewhere. It seemed more erotic to me than anything.

Let's start with Ella Harper, she's 17 and works as a stripper, come on, that was one of the things that caught my attention. And out of nowhere appears this benefactor who is very rich. It seemed sweet to me and at the same time, I thought I wanted to have something with the protagonist. She seemed to me to have been raised in the "streets" lack of will. The truth is that the author puts her as the adult between her mother and her. However, the way that sometimes acts seems to be quite the opposite.

Reed, oh Reed, the author describes him as someone snobbish and who controls the school they attend. It seems to me that between her brothers and her father, Ella has a lot of testosterone in her life.

There were parts that left me in complete shock because neither Megan Maxwell brings out as many erotic scenes in her novels as this author expounded. Talking about Megan she is Spanish author and I freaking love her. There were other parts that bored me a little. The truth is that despite everything, I finished it. And the only reason I started the second novel and why I give it 3.5 stars is by its end. I finish as I like it, I leave with curiosity, and as I mentioned, I am very curious. I'll tell you if I liked that and if I left it in my half. If you are interested in reading it, I will leave the link down below so you can purchase it.

All Your Perfects
by Colleen Hoover
Published by: Atria Books
July 17th, 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Format: eBook
Source: Purchased
Rating: 5 Stars

Quinn and Graham’s perfect love is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair.
All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. This is a heartbreaking page-turner that asks: Can a resounding love with a perfect beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?

This week I had a very busy one in my work, besides that, I was in a training in Seattle that took two days. I wanted to focus on unique books. If you have been following my post I had read a saga recently with way too many books. However, I could not continue, I do not know why, as something stops me.

The problem with this is that I did not have an idea to read. I went TBR list and nothing attracted me,  I do not know, then I went to the list of my favorite authors. That's how I found this book. I have already mentioned that this author deserves ovations for her past books - at least what I read - and this was not the exception.

This book quickly attracted my attention with the introduction. What can I say absolutely, I went and I downloaded it in my kindle -ahem and I ordered it on paper too, remember my dream library- and I could not let go.

This book talks about a marriage that has had problems of conception. They face them as many couple can do -ignoring the big elephant in the room- when he mentions the years they have together, it was my perdition.

For those who know I live with the father of my children -please don’t judge me, I am one of those who believe that a marriage vs domestic partnership its just a paper-. I say it's my husband because we've been together for 13 years. However, when we were 7 years, among the routine -We’ve been ignoring the great elephant in the room- we destroyed it and not only as a couple but as people. I cry with this book - I know I always cry but ignore my weeping part for a moment - since as our Colleen describes our protagonist she feels, that's how I felt. We did not have the same conception problems, but if I could understand it, I would identify with it.

The protagonist is called Quinn, who is a girl who comes with a mother who wants to live on appearances. However, she has his feet firmly on the ground. She also has his unconditional sister.

Graham who is our protagonist, is sexy confident and super loves Quinn. Who seems very normal guy. What I love too that he is not a cliche -other word he is not rich-.

They do not know each other in the best circumstances , and I tell them that I'm going to tell them some spoilers. And since they are warned I tell them that they are the couples who deceived them - now I explain myself. They went out with someone else, even Quinn was getting married in a month, but she finds her fiancé with Graham's girlfriend. See what I am saying?

This novel maybe they were not the best way to introduce our protagonist, but the plot was so great, fabulous, impressive -if I can continue describing it- that we can forgive this.

As I said, I identified a lot how the protagonist felt, because that's how I felt every day. Until one day breaking my heart in the process separates me. The routine took something very essential in a marriage. I did know that I loved my husband, but I did not know if I loved him too much to stay by his side and lose myself in the process. Also in the part -spoiler alert- he deceives her. My husband did not fool me per se, because technically we were not together, but I swear he felt that way when he told me the person he was with. I have not said this to many people, so deep was this book.

But my story, like that of the protagonists, has a happy ending. In my case I had another baby, I moved country and we are more united than ever. In the case of our protagonists, WHAT? Do you really thought I was going to tell you? because I do refuse to tell you. READ IT!! I just going to tell you, I did not expect it at all because I expected a miracle or something, but it was an ending that could happen to anyone, it was quite realistic.

I'm also looking for new books to read, so I want to ask you a huge favor. Could you leave in the comments section book recommendations to read that you liked it? or books that want to read the review?

Temping the Beast
by Lora Leigh
Series: Breeds (#1)
Published by: Author
September 19th, 2017
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Format: eBook
Source: Kindle Unlimited
Rating: 5 Stars

He’s a genetic experiment. The merging of human and lion DNA his creators call a Breed. And they have no idea just what kind of the creature they brought into being.     Callan Lyons wanted only to be left in peace to protect the small group of Breeds he rescued from a New Mexico lab, but those that created them refuse to stop their continued attempts to re-capture them. And the owner of a small, reputable paper, once a friend of his birth mother’s, now has proof of his existence. Proof that has caught his daughter, Merinus Tyler’s’s fascination and ensured her determination to find him. But once they touch, they’ll become far more than either ever imagined possible.     Man created them, but nature has made them her own. Beginning with Callan, she’ll show the world the folly of playing with the very building blocks of all she protects. And Merinus will learn the folly of tempting the beast…

This novel was recommended by one of my friends who also loves to read. As always I was a bit bored because I did not know what to read. This week was a little busy for me in my work. So I told her that I was looking for something refreshing and did not leave this world. She told me that this series had some 32 books, so I told her to let me start with the first one and then we'll see if I continue with the rest. Hey, I'm not a millionaire to buy many books. The good news is that this book is free for those who have the Kindle Unlimited subscription that I am part of.

I'll leave the link down below for those who are interested in being part of the Kindle Unlimited program. I only pay 9.99 monthly which amounts to 10.84 with taxes but I imagine that this will depend on the area where you are. You have a wide selection of books to choose from and thus do not affect your pocket.

Returning to the book I got off in my kindle and I swear I read it like in 4 hours. Now, you will say how I got 4 hours without children and without a husband because it was my birthday, so that was my gift. Not only I love the story is that it was refreshing. I don't know this series seems a bit like this series by author Laura Dohner called New Species, which I recommend a lot. Well, this series or at least this book I liked a lot. I think that this series was recommended by Mineliz in one of my boredom.

First, we meet Merinus. She is a journalist and the only woman among 7 brothers. Those who have been only daughters with more than two brothers know what the testosterone can do. How about you are overprotected. I remembered my brothers with this story. She is captivated by our hero.

Callan is an experiment - come back to tell you that it looks like Laura's New Species - but I like it because it is a leader and super protects our heroine. Not just me the escape of the installation but could grab and protect some of his people.

Another thing that I like is that they were introducing another story. Which means I have to keep reading the books. They were betrayed by someone close to them, which was a surprise to me. I can not avoid comparing them with Laura's new species, but there are many similarities. I love that this author put this betrayal, other beginnings of other stories and also know they can have babies.

As I said I loved these stories so I'll be a little busy with them, hey they are 32 but I could be wrong and could be more. Definitely will recommend this one. Good job Lora! You will love it as I did.

As long as evil exists in this world, his race must step forward and stand in the gap, shielding those who cannot protect themselves. But the battle he is anticipating is bigger than he could have ever imagined.
As Perizada has recently discovered, creatures of the night that have for so long remained hidden from the human realm, have slithered from their underground lairs and begun preying on the young and innocent. The high fae has declared war, and she expects Vasile and his wolves to be the ones to carry out the attack. The Alpha is more than happy to oblige. But with his first grandchild on the way, and the gift of five vulnerable healers coming under the wolves’ protection, he understands that he must be very careful not to place any of them in harm’s way.
Such is the job of the Alpha, protector, and provider. He and those he leads must stand as sentinels and warriors to safeguard those they love, and the humans who know nothing of the supernatural world. It will be their job to destroy the creatures that threaten to expose them all. And if they fail, the world as they know it, both human and supernatural, will never be the same.

It has been several years since this series came out and recently I was navigating through another of the blogs I visit and I found out that a new book had come out. When I said new is because I found out recently (hey, don’t judge me for being so clueless) as you probably read that this was released in 2016.

I tell you that this series is about sexy and hot werewolves. I personally love the story of Jen and Decebel. Make no mistake here I love everyone but Jenifer cracks me up with her occurrences. I also love the dynamic that the three friends have among them.

This book did not disappoint me either. It is not dedicated to any of the specific couples but encompasses each and every one of them. This series has a spin-off as well. The name of this spin-off is Gypsy Healers. I strongly recommend reading all of them. Quinn Loftis has become one of my favorite authors - I have a very limited list, like a hundred only - jokes aside, you know that an author knows what he is doing and when the author knows what he is doing.

I could not stop reading the story since I bought it. My husband got up at about 3 am and he tells me “What, you don't plan on going to sleep?”. Guess what I said, I think we've all used this lie again and again, "I'll finish this chapter and go to bed" LIES - I could not until I finished it.

Super recommend that you read these books. Quinn Loftis, you booties as always! Slow clap -I'm coming again quoting Grey's Anatomy-. Tell me what you think about them on the comments below.

Hopeless
by Colleen Hoover
Series: Hopeless (#1)
Published by: Author
December 18th, 2012
Genre: New Adult
Format: ePub
Source: Purchased
Rating: 5 Stars

Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…
That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried.
Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

It has been many years since I read this author who I fell in love with. The other books were the Slammed series. If you haven’t read those I highly recommend that you do.

I went to my TBR list -here I come again with the list-, but I feel it doesn't end. If I tell you that this story it's an old release (as you noticed from the published date), please don’t be surprised. I have more old releases that I haven’t read yet. Sometimes I get distracted by other stuff or with other recommendation that I forget the list.

Lets stop talking about the list and more about the book. If I can rate this book 10k stars I will do it. I loved the book. Once I started reading it I couldn’t stop. This story will drive you on a very emotional rollercoaster. I cried like a baby. And yet you will think that it's just fiction and doesn’t happen in real life, but sadly how its sound happened and happens to many girls.

Sky, after she went to unspeakable, horrible, heartbreaking, terrible -yes, I can continue- things she manages to go through life. She is now one of my favorite heroines.

The male role is Holder. He is a wonderful, strong, prince charming that all girls need. He deserves a gold start just for being there for Sky. He went for so much on the story.

Colleen Hoover deserved standing ovations for the Slammed books, but with this one, she deserves a movie and nominations to Oscar's, Emmy's and all the nominations to ever exist. I have a daughter and a son and if something like this ever happens to them, I will blogging from prison because I'll kill in the blink of an eye and with a smile on my face (I have been watching so many horror movies) to whoever does this kind of atrocity to my babies. Makes me open my eyes and don’t be so confident because we never know a person. Colleen thanks so much and my respects to you. Let me know guys what do you think? Please leave your comments below!

Sacrificed to the Dragon
by Jessie Donovan
Series: Stonefire Dragons (#1)
Published by: Mythical Lake Press
September 22nd, 2014
Genre: Paranormal
Format: ePub
Source: Purchased
Rating: 4 Stars

In exchange for a vial of dragon’s blood to save her brother’s life, Melanie Hall offers herself up as a sacrifice to one of the British dragon-shifter clans. Being a sacrifice means signing a contract to live with the dragon-shifters for six months to try to conceive a child. Her assigned dragonman, however, is anything but easy.
He’s tall, broody, and alpha to the core. There’s only one problem—he hates humans.
Due to human dragon hunters killing his mother, Tristan MacLeod despises humans. Unfortunately, his clan is in  desperate need of offspring to repopulate their numbers and it’s his turn to service a human female. Despite his plans to have sex with her and walk away, his inner dragon has other ideas. The curvy human female tempts his inner beast like no other.

This story is a very old release as you can see of the date of publishing. If you are like me and went straight to the action (the review) so you now know it's from 2014. And you may say -Wow, its 4 years ago- however this title came from the list, yes that list all of us have an never use. As painful its sounds is the truth. So I gave it a chance. I love dragons stories!

Regarding the heroine of the story, she cares very much about her family, she got this situation because she wanted to save the life of her brother. So you can see what I mean that she cares about her family. However, in this story, everything passes too fast.

About Tristan, he hated humans, because of a tragic event of his past. However, he went from hating humans to loving them in like 2 seconds into the story. See when I say everything happens too fast. Also he care about his sister and his pack. He can make your hormones work out! I am drooling for this sexy, hot dragon. Mmmm...

Besides what I said it was a very good story to read. I definitely recommend to read it, if you're looking for something fast and a long series. When I said long series is because apparently there are like 10 books, Dear Lord. I am currently reading the second book of it, and I like it too. So, what is the moral here, yes there is a moral here, don’t wait too long your list so you can get up to date with books.

Night Myst
by Yasmine Galenorn
Series: Indigo Court (#1)
Published by: Nightqueen Enterprises LLC
July 18th, 2018
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Format: ePub
Source: Purchase
Rating: 3 Stars

Eons ago, vampires tried to turn the Dark Fae in order to harness their magic, only to create a demonic enemy more powerful than they imagined. Now Myst, the Vampiric Fae Queen of the Indigo Court, has enough power to begin a long prophesied supernatural war. And Cicely Waters, a witch who can control the wind, may be the only one who can stop her-and save her beloved Fae prince from the Queen's enslavement.
Cicely Waters, a witch who can control the wind, has returned home to New Forest, Washington, after learning that her family is in danger. The Indigo Court holds the city in fear. People are vanishing, and strange deaths plague the town. And when she is swept into an unexpected and passionate reunion with Grieve, the Fae prince who taught her how to harness the wind, Cicely finds herself with a fierce and territorial lover.
But Greive has been enslaved in Myst's court, and now, caught betwen two evils, the lovers must survive the machinations of the Vampiric Fae queen, even as Cicely untangles the hidden secrets to her own heritage.

Mmmm…. What can I say about this book? I did like it, but I didn’t love it. This book was kind of disappointing, at least in my opinion.

I saw this book on one of the blogs I like to visit and saw the series. However, on this blog, they didn’t put the review on it. Anyhow when I started reading I said: “yes, I know this is going to be a kickass book where the heroine will be a kickass woman”.

From my perspective, the author made a weak heroine. Her name is Cicely Waters, who grew with an addicted mother and a selfish bastard. She grew up on the streets -you may say “well she has a thicker skin” but you are wrong-  the author made her so insecure, lost girl, like need to follow orders, etc. I will give her that she cares for her loved ones and still develop. That's it!

There are 2 potential males roles in this story. There is Lannan, who is a maniac bastard and who slept with his own sister, yeah you read me right, HIS OWN FRICKING SISTER IS HIS LOVER. For me, this was the last drop on the glass. Disgusting, Gross, Nasty… -and yes I can continue-! There is Grieve, that is sweet pea one day and a bastard another. I can tell is the chosen one, but again on the book was left behind to be the bad one and leave it to die.

I got so confused by the many troubles and situations that the author wants to put at the same time. I was “What the hell is happening now?”. Like they don’t even make sense! Also got a little bit bored by parts. I was expecting more with this fae storylines, however, I think was too big for the author. I might give an opportunity to at least read the second book, or might not, maybe to try to understand a little bit more. So, maybe you were wondering why I gave 3 stars, well again I liked it but is that something who leaves a bad sensation in my mouth. I know you can understand me. But hey be your own judge on the book and let me know what you think. Do you agree or not with my review? I will loved to hear from you with your comments.

Wren can't sing like a bird. She can't speak at all.
The Alpha kingpin and his pack didn't buy the Omega to hear it talk.

Disclaimer:

This copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of it or the content of my review.

OMG! I couldn't stop reading this book and sadly for me, it ended to fast. Left me wanting more and more. This story is a perfect naughty story -if you can read between lines- you will understand. It’s about Wren and no one, not two but 3 alphas. But here is the interesting part, dear Ms. Cain you just spin completely the concept about Omega for me. Wren is an Omega! This review has spoilers, now you are warned it’s up to you if you want to continue reading otherwise you can jump right away to the last paragraph for my opinion -Don’t say later I didn't give enough and fair warnings.

Wren was sold to an Alpha by her father and then he rejected her, marking her as defective, and she was cast to Warrens, a wasteland where death and despair exist. She is a scavenger and trades for what she needs for herself and the two boys, Alec and Mikael. But when the boys are missing, she knew she has to go into the tunnels and find them. Wren will sell herself to protect Alec and Mikael, but in the process, she will discover more about herself too, and in spite of it all, she finds pleasure in submission.

About this 3 sexy, hot and steamy Alphas. There is Caspian the leader, the second Kieran and their third in command Toby -Maintenance please come clean my keyboard for drool all over it-. Like good brothers they share everything including their taste for woman -I am talking about Wren here-. Can I ask Santa this 3 for me, please? *more drool*

For those who don't like to read spoilers but can't resist and can't help themselves on reading them anyhow, please raise your hand *I have mine up*; What are your thoughts? Wants to read it?. For those who follow my warning and jump to this paragraph this story is a darkest sexual fantasy that you will be enjoying. This author was a genius!! She get's a slow clap from me -I think I've been watching too much of Grey's Anatomy-  Very well develop and everything fit perfectly. This book is a must read and will not disappoint you! That is a promise from me. I can't wait to read the second book!

Tower of Down
by Sarah J. Maas
Series: Throne of Glass (#6)
Published by: Bloomsbury USA Childrens
September 5th, 2017
Genre: Fantasy
Format: ePub
Source: Purchased
Rating: 5 Stars

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.
His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica—the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.
But what they discover in Antica will change them both—and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

What can I said about this book -just read the author- come on is Sarah-freaking-J-fabulous-Maas. You can tell just by the author how the story's going to be. It's funny I specifically chose this story because I was the Maid of Honor at my friend wedding. So, I thought this is a big book so I can split it into several days since I will not have much time. I did not know weddings can be so hard and being the maid of honor harder. Wedding aside, as I mentioned I got so engaged that I could not put it aside. OMG!

Whoever has been following these series know about Chaol. I had a hate-love relationship with him, still, have it. I said through the series when I was reading that he was a total jerk, even though he wants to protect Aelin, he still couldn't accept her. Thank God Aelin pass the page and now is with *spoiler alert* the magnificent, hot, fabulous, sexy fae Rowan (maintenance needs a mop for all the slobber I'm dropping around me). Coming back to Chaol, well he plays an important part in the life of Aelin and Dorian. I feel bad for what happened to him but we'll see more of him in this book.

What can I said about Nesryn, I haven't heard much about her, or maybe I really hadn't pay much attention until now.  I am so glad that she is the first captain of the royal guard, even though is by name. Those who have been follow the books will understand. I will not tell since I have been saying a lot of spoilers. She is a kick-ass woman, I love that. I love to read more about her in this book.

Is a great book! Guess what? I already order it on Hardcover for my future library!

This copy was provided by the publisher via Hidden Gems Books for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of it or the content of my review.

This book...Dear Lord! I loved this book. I had the pleasure of receiving this book from Hidden Gems Books. Thank God I was selected. I loved EVERYTHING! This book is the type of book where you notice that the author put a lot of time and dedication into it. When you are going through the book you feel like you are on the scene. That's how well described it is. I had the pleasure to be on New Orleans and loved it. This city is very rich in culture and good people. So the author was pretty accurate describing it. This book totally reminds me of Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs which I loved.

Luke, I love him *deep sigh*, come on who doesn't love a sexy, hot, spicy werewolf (yes, I can continue). Macey, she is a kickass woman, my kind of girl. They're very well developed and complex characters. Makes you sigh just imagining these two. This book is so well developed and has everything. It has suspense, humor, secrets, etc. There is a “secret" -again, come on what book doesn't have one- I could imagine because I saw that coming but I wasn't 100% sure. You probably will say well that happens but trust when I tell you this I can predict finals of books just reading the intro. That how good I am * self-clap on my shoulder*. Really have mystery, romance, etc.

I totally recommended this book. I noticed this book will be out tomorrow August 21st, 2018, but you can pre-order it and enjoy it on time.

Well done Carrie! My slow claps to you. I'm so ready to follow this stories...

This copy was provided by the author via Hidden Gems Books for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of it or the content of my review.

What can I say about this book... I freaking loved it. I got it from a website where they offer you the book to give an honest review. Thank God that I subscribed HG ARC (because my crazy friend -just kidding or not- recommended it). Let’s start with the cover, to be honest, I loved it and hated it because I knew this was going to be about a rich jerk and loved it because come on who doesn’t love to read about rich jerks. Those are the best novels.

I started reading the book and I couldn’t put it down. Imagine how I woke up the next day to go work! Let’s say I never went to bed and leave it there. Hey, someone who tells you never to do that it’s because is not a book lover.

Daniel, let’s talk about Daniel! Like I mentioned he's a total jerk, but jerk can’t even get close. He is an idiot. Even though he’s an IDIOT, well I have to say that I’m impressed. The author describes very well the character, and something refreshing about he loves 2 women. He is very loyal. I feel identified with this feeling because if I where in the same position I will sacrifice myself for my loved ones.

I love Vivian! She is a very independent woman, lovely and a fighter. She is my kind of woman. I felt so connected with her character and the author did a very good job describing her feelings because I felt it like they were my own.

You will love this book. I highly recommend it! So ready to read the next one.

by Sarah J. Maas

Looming war threatens all Feyre holds dear in the third volume of the #1 New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses series.
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin's maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit-and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.
As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords-and hunt for allies in unexpected places.
In this thrilling third book in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Sarah J. Maas, the earth will be painted red as mighty armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy them all.

This week has been such a nightmare for me. In my other post, I mentioned I was on vacation, however, coming back to work made me feel like going on vacation had been such a horrible idea. So, that’s why I said “NO MORE” and take some time out of my work laptop and let my brain relax because I was feeling it was kinda melting.

I decide to go and look on my TBR list. I know everybody has one. I have like 3 to be honest. Going back to the list, I see “pending” on a book by Sarah J. Maas. I couldn't believe how I let this happen. What on the world was I thinking (besides being a mom, having a full-time job and helping my crazy and dearest friend with a blog) how could I forget that? That was inconceivable (there is again the drama queen on me).

I'd already read the other 2 books and OMG… if you haven’t read it you don’t know what you have been missing. This one didn’t disappoint me either. I LOVE IT!! Come on we are talking about Sarah-freaking-Maas. She is one of my top 10 fave authors. Saying that from me it's a lot.

The story is about Feyre. Her actions reminded me a little of me, of how someone has confronted the world when they are under some situations. I will not say anything more because otherwise, I will ruin your reading. And trust me you guys need to read this books. It is a book that had me laughing, has romance, action, revenge, and treason. There were parts and alliances you will never imagine (At least it didn't come to my mind at all).

When we talk about sequels I like that connection with the other books because come on who are willing to go back to the books and read it again just to follow the new book *ahem* I will do, but we are not talking about me.

I am so ready to read next story about Nesta and *spoiler alert* if she ends with Cassian. Super highly recommended!! You will love them as much or at least a tiny bit as I loved them. This books from the beginning to the end you will laugh, cry and sometime you will hate some characters and love others.

Succubus Dreams
Series: Georgina Kincaid (#3)
by Richelle Mead
Published by: Kensington
October 1, 2008
Genre: Fantasy
Format: ePub
Source: Purchased
Rating: 5 stars

Some days, a girl just can't catch a break...
…especially when the girl in question is Georgina Kincaid, a shape-shifting succubus who gets her energy from seducing men. First there’s her relationship with gorgeous bestselling writer Seth Mortensen, which is unsatisfying on a number of levels. It’s not just that they can’t have sex in case Georgina inadvertently kills him (generally a turn-off for most guys). Lately, even spending time together is a challenge. Seth's obsessed with finishing his latest novel, and Georgina's under demonic orders to mentor the new (and surprisingly inept) succubus on the block.
Then there are the dreams. Someone, or something, is preying on Georgina at night, draining her energy, and supplying eerie visions of her future. Georgina seeks answers from Dante, a dream interpreter with ties to the underworld, but his flirtatious charm only leaves her more confused—especially as the situation with Seth reaches crisis point. Now Georgina faces a double challenge—rein in her out-of-control love life, and go toe-to-toe with an enemy capable of wreaking serious havoc among mankind. Otherwise, Georgina, and the entire mortal world, may never sleep easy again…

I was on vacation for the last two weeks. For those who are wondering I went back to my country Puerto Rico to see family and spend some time taking a sunbath because I really need it. Ok, ok less chitchat and more review. I like to re-read books and I will get entertain for a long time. Raise your hand if you are of those that get bored on the middle of the flight and doesn’t have anything else to do but read -my hand its up- like a good learner I learn from my past mistakes. Please don’t mentioned the last sentence to my hubby, because he will said otherwise.

For those who really know me, and I think already mentioned beforehand, when I really love a book I buy them on paper for my dream library. Let’s leave the library aside *for now*, as you can see about this book it is an old release. What can I say about this book its marvelous, magnificent, wonderful and I can continue describing it. This was one of the books that made me fall harder in love with books. However for the vacation, I took my iPad, because imagine me taking all those books, my husband will literally kill me.

With this books, I felt a love-hate relationship because there were parts where I really love it and others where I didn't. This author put so much passion describing the characters of this series. My main focus is talking about this specific book because for me this one was the home run of the series. What can I said I am very drama queen.

Georgina Kincaid is a succubus who want a normal life, well what woman on the earth doesn’t, but she gave up everything because she *spoiler alert* cheats on her husband. Back on the times, you know women were punished for cheating when men were celebrated for doing it. The feminist in me hated that, but I understand where the author wanted to go with the subject.

Seth, what can I said about him, he is a boring person, or on my country, we will call him “soso” this mean a person who doesn’t do anything to socialize and give something on the relationship. Then they complain about the other person being unfaithful to them.

Georgina was protecting him by having sex so he can have a longer life. She encouraged him to have sex with others. Even though she is going to hate it. What makes my jaw drop on this book was when -OMG I can't even say it- the sister of Doug said she slept with Seth. *Sniffs*. When I was reading about Georgina encouraging her to be more open and less shy, I was the first one slapping like crazy until this. Why, why… on the earth, the author will do something like this. Why not a stranger he slept with, do you know how much it hurts that someone you love sleeps with a friend. I identified with Georgina. Now you understand the hate part on the relationship with this series. Did I mention that I cried so much that I had a runny nose? I am not ashamed to say that to you because I am pretty sure you have cried on a book as well. Please comment below on what books have made you cry so hard that you even have a runny nose. Don’t be ashamed. Since this is my 4 time reading this books so my cry is less but still have some tears. So no one couldn't accuse my husband of mistreatment on the plane. LOL. *Drama Alert* I saw my self for a moment on a viral video on facebook.

There were two more characters I really loved on this serie it was Jerome and Carter. With Carter, I laughed a lot because he is an angel who cheats on games, smoke and drinks. When on the earth will you see an angel doing that? On the other hand Jerome its a demon who really likes his subordinates.

If you haven’t read this books yet, you don't know what you're missing, so buy them now, because you are losing a lot. Please let know what you all think about it. See you next week.

What can I said about this book, IT'S AN AMAZING BRILLIANT NOVEL! Can please male readers take this as an example or at least read it, so this way you will understand why women like to read this. Gentlemen's knows your biggest enemy ever. Katy Evans, I don’t know what were you thinking -well I know what were you thinking- but girl you seriously put on paper most girls and boys wet dreams.

This novel is HOT, HOT, HOT.

I love Remy. He’s not just a star, he’s the whole freaking universe to me. He’s the sun and every planet in this galaxy and others too. When the author starts describing Remy, OMG, can I ask one for Christmas, is something like you can stop reading. I just (how you can write to describe the way the author describes him, nothing compares) can describe him as hot, hot and hotter. Can I get his babies?

Do you guys have a list of books boyfriends or other cases girlfriends (ujumm I do have one, in case you are wondering, so I am pretty sure you do too), he went to the top along with my Rey’aziel Farrow (Dreamy Sigh).

About Brooke, I hated her, Nah, just kidding, this is my jealousy talking. She is the classic cliche girl and a little bit more. Let back to talk about Remy, she doesn't deserve any thought from me. Ok ok, let talk about her, but just a little bit. She describes how she sees Remy and how she tries to fight back. Honestly, jokes and jealousy apart, I will do the same. I really liked it the way she stopped everything because otherwise, she will be another one on his list (Self-respect before anything). There is so much sexual tension between them in the hole novel.

After of course, they are together you can breathe again clearly, like literally. They share a perfect chemistry. You can feel it very deep in inside your skin.

Katy, I love you and what you did was amazing. My recommendation for you its dump (not literally, but if you insist, in that case, we always accept donations), but seriously drop everything and jump straight to this book. This is 200% recommended and the other books as well.

Shatter Me
by Tahereh Mafi
Series: Shatter Me (#1)
Published by: HarperCollins

Genre: Sci-Fic & Fantasy Romance
Format: paperback
Source: Purchased
Rating: 5 stars

     I have a curse
     I have a gift

     I am a monster
     I'm more than human

     My touch is lethal
     My touch is power

     I am their weapon
     I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

I already read this book a long time ago. Since my friend invited me to collaborate with her on this blog doing reviews about books -I went and took the dust out of my old books- so, I read these books again. As you already noticed this book came out a long time ago. I have tons of books on my iPad on my kindle app because they are cheap, the formal excuse its because they are practical when you are traveling. However, I really don’t buy paper books unless I really, really, really like the book. Call me crazy but when you enjoy a book so much you want to have it and feel it -or I want to smell it-. Like every bookworm my dream it's having a huge (roof to floor 360 room full of books) library that it's mine as well. Having the books I really like in it. So this book belongs to my dream library.

What can I say about this book; OMG! LOOK THAT FRONT COVER. Shut the front door! You can imagine what it's about to come with just a cover like that.

This book is like that Spanish TV Shows on Netflix when you think something's going happen -NOO- it's totally different.

I am always wondering what it's going to happen if a war develops and destroys all the governments, this book describes everything. You really feel like you are there. Which on a book, -at least to me, I want that- I want to be part of it, be on the story. This only happens to me with a few books like Hunger Games and Divergent. Please, I have nothing against the movies but the books are way better than the movies. In my humble opinion.

The heroine, I loved her. When she thinks she went totally nuts, she really has this super kickass powers. The Heroe, on the other hand, was a love-hate feeling. I know it a love triangle, however, since the begging of the story I started hating Warner and loving Adam but personally kinda ended switching my thoughts and my feelings at the end. You guys will see when you read them.

I couldn’t sleep until I read the 3 of them - I know a lot of you will feel the same way or do the same thing- I really recommend to read this book and also the sequel. They are marvelousness. I wish someone put them on the big screen -but not so edited like Hunger Games and Divergent- and create this magnificent story. Thanks, Tahereh Mafi for sharing this story with us. Super mega recommended.
