     A woman in danger…
Serena Brooks is a bestselling author of erotic fiction. She knows how to write a happy ending but hasn’t managed to find one of her own. Divorced and alone, she has no one to turn to when a stalker begins to threaten her life. The cops don’t believe her. Her ex-husband thinks she’s making the whole story up. She has no one left to turn to except a pair of hired bodyguards. They promise to guard her body, but no one can protect her heart.
Two men in search of love…
Adam Miles and Jacob Dean are halves of a whole. They’ve spent their entire adult lives searching for the one woman who can handle them both. Adam is the playful, indulgent lover, while Jacob is the possessive, loving Dom. When Serena comes into their lives, Adam is certain that she’s the one. But Jacob’s past comes back to haunt them all. He is suspicious of Serena’s story, and his concerns are driving a wedge between him and Adam. But when the stalker strikes, they will have to come together or lose each other forever…

I have to say that although I enjoyed this story I was a bit disappointed.

Adam and Jake have been partners for a very long time. So long that they don't even need to say words to communicate what they need from the other, just a few looks and gestures say a lot. I liked this brotherly connection since their families are kind of assholes.

Serena as with many a beginning for series like this is curious about the lifestyle and has some strong desires that no one understands until she meets these two men. She needs protection from a stalker and the security firm that is hired assigns them to her.

I have to say it was a very entertaining read and although I kind of figured out who her stalker was (there was a twist in there that I did not expect) I enjoyed and I can't wait to read some of the other characters stories, especially Ian's and Alex/Eve.

What disappointed me was that there was not a lot of the lifestyle included. You have some BDSM aspects and some menage but I wanted more. I needed more! Aside from that, I can't wait to read the next book and see what is in store for these characters next.

I have a history of picking the wrong guy. Gay? Player? Momma’s boy? Check, check and check.
Now I can’t stop fantasizing about one of the customers at the coffee shop I work at between classes. It’s just a harmless crush, right? It’s not like I ever see this guy outside of the coffee shop. It’s not like I’m going to see him while attempting to get birth control at the student clinic. While wearing a paper gown. While sitting on an exam table. Because he’s the doctor. Shoot. Me.
But what if, for once, the man I’ve had the dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies about turned out to be everything but wrong?

This book is that kind of book that is short but juicy. I've never read this author. This book came from a friend recommendation, so I trusted her with my life *Now I am being dramatic* I was totally bored with everything (I know you guys have been here too, where you have a list of books to read-on my case like 500-but nothing sounds good to read) so my friend said "you should read this story" and I am so happy I listened to her (this doesn't happen often, my mom will be so jealous). Sometimes you just need something like this to just clear out your mind from those series which are never-ending.

This story is a total cliche, you know the guy with a great career, rich and conflicted family, but with a touch of originality from the author.

The heroine I liked, however, like every cliche story on some parts of the story I just wanted to kill her with my bare hands *But suppose to happen as part of cliches* The hero, on the other hand, I melted for and made me laugh with his ironies, especially when they meet, even her knowing what he really does, makes me laugh so much and I felt embarrassed for this two.

There were parts where I felt like I was reading Cristian from 50 Shades of Grey again and I didn't like it (but Jana I will let it pass this time, just because I really like it)

The end left me wanting more and my heart bleeding. I really liked the epilogue. Somehow this author changed a little bit of the cliches and made him fall first for the heroine (finally). I am so ready to read the sequel of this story which is going to be the friend (this girl made me laugh like a hyena)

Jokes apart, I loved how extrovert she was and the full-time stalker. So, final thought, I do recommend this story because its short and I had a good time with this one.

Beneath the Scars

Josie doesn’t need any help raising her son.
Pregnant at sixteen, Josie learned the hard way about men and their empty promises. She picked herself up and is raising her eleven-year-old son. By herself. And that’s the way she intends it to stay. Unfortunately, her impressionable boy becomes fascinated by the scruffy, intimidating biker who lives next door.
The scars on Holt’s face are only the most visible of his wounds.
Out of the hospital after being attacked in his own damn house, Holt is coming to terms with the fact that his scars frighten people. Like his now-ex-girlfriend who ran after one look at him. Like his redheaded neighbor who hauled her boy away as if Holt was a serial killer. Fine. He’ll give the pretty bartender all the space she wants.
The Shadowlands will bring them together…
When Josie starts bartending in the exclusive, private club, she discovers her neighbor is a member. And a Master--a skilled powerful Dom who can make her fantasies come true. Slowly, the firefighter breaks down the walls around her heart, teaching her how to trust. How to love...
But when her son’s choices lead to disaster, can their relationship survive?

Master Holt and Josie's story is one of my favorites of this series. No other book has other POV's but that of the main couple (that I can recall) but this one had the POV of Carson (Josie's son) and Mistress Anne.

We are able to follow not just the heartache that Josie goes thru trying to give everything to her child but we also see how Carson feels about another man coming between his mom and himself and his reaction to it.

I loved, like always, how Sinclair goes about presenting the BDSM aspect of the relationships. Many authors I've read this genre from, make the sex aspect dirty and makes you think of the woman as being a doormat or a nympho. Cherise Sinclair makes you fall in love with the characters and gives you different levels of submission.

The only thing that irked me about this story is that Josie gave Carson a lot of free reign with the way he expressed himself. If I have done what he did to Holt after the backpack confrontation my mom would have tanned my hide for being so disrespectful. Other than that I loved every minute of this book and I can't wait for the next story, which I hope is Ghost!

Ryder Wilson returned from serving multiple deployments but can't leave the hell of combat behind him. Frustrated and ashamed of his inability to function in the world as well as the veterans he served with, he retreated, choosing to engage only with those he trusted. When retired Master Sergeant Adam Montague sends him on a mission to protect his sister from some unknown danger, Ryder's days of hiding out may be over. Can he fulfill his mission without failing again?
Megan Gallagher has two big-brother Marines bent on protecting her from the evils of the world, but she's tougher than they think. When her older brother sends Ryder, one of his recon Marines, to her doorstep in the wee hours one night following a break-in, she realizes he needs rescuing more than she does. A friendship forms quickly, but unexpected passions run hot and complicate her resolve never to have a romantic relationship, much less marriage. So why are her body and her heart betraying her every time he comes near?
Can these two wounded people lower their defenses long enough to allow love to grow?

I find myself with mixed feelings about this book. I love the story and how Megan helped Ryder and all the romantic things Ryder did with Megan. But even if it's being a while I remember that the previous books have more context to them and the time frame is longer. This story was just too insta for me. And it also leaves you wanting more of the BDSM aspect of things.

Ryder like every Marine character from previous books served in Fallujah under Adam's command and has PTSD from that mission. Megan is Adam's half-sister and she knows how to deal with PTSD since her other brother is also a Marine that has served in the war and came home with night terrors.

The characters don't have much interaction with others and that is in part what makes it cute and romantic but it is also what makes it such a fast-paced read that leaves you wanting more. I guess this also has to do with the fact that this characters were not introduced in previous books but were just mention in passing.

I hope to have better luck with the next book since is one of the couples I've been looking forward the most.

Nauti Intentions

Since he saw Janey Mackay taking a dip in her bikini, Major Alex Jansen has had to quell the fire she ignites in him. Even touching her would mean death at the hands of the Mackay men. Until now, the girl of his dreams-and fantasies-has lived in a vacuum of affection, shying away from the danger she thinks men represent. Alex sets out to prove her wrong, with his torturously slow caresses.
Everyone thinks Janey's safe now, with her abusers dead. But when someone starts leaving spine chilling notes, Alex won't rest until she's completely safe. And completely his-body and soul...

It’s been a while since I’ve read this series but is as good as I remember. Lora Leigh is one of my top 5 Erotic Romance authors and I love that I still have books from her to look forward to.

This book takes place six months after the last one. At the end of book three Natches, the hero saved his sister Janey Mackay from their psycho dad and aunt after discovering they were part of a domestic terrorist cell. After this events, Janey is been threatened by a stalker how wants the daughter of a traitor gone from Somerset.

One of Janey’s cousins approaches Alex, a friend of the family, to help him tell her brother about it since Janey made him swear not to tell her family. Since Alex has been lusting after Janey since she was 17 he uses the opportunity to get near Janey and finally get her in bed.

What I like about Lora Leigh is that even though there is lots of sex is the story there is a story. There is danger, an antagonist, and all that good stuff that give substance to a book. To have readers entertained and not just have the monotony of reading the same thing happening but in different places.

The only thing that made me mad was the fact that Alex’s and Janey’s 14 years gap was such a big point of the story. I don’t mind the old man young woman trope but for some reason, it bothered me in this story. Janey and Alex made such a cute couple that every time the age thing was brought up it just made me go off the rocker.

But no matter what I still loved the book and can’t wait to read the next one.

Football star Cole Riley is notorious for doing as he pleases—on the field and off. He parties hard and fights harder. But if he doesn't clean up his act, his career is over—so Cole reluctantly agrees to work with image makeover consultant Savannah Brooks. He's not used to being told what to do, especially by some (admittedly hot) Southern belle. As for Savannah, she's not convinced she can transform this cocky (and aggressively sexy) force of nature. But she's determined to give it her best shot.
When the sparks start to fly, Savannah lays down the ground rules: no personal complications. If she can turn off the tingle she feels every time Cole gives her a hot stare with his gorgeous baby blues, he can turn off his desire as well. But for two people determined to have it all, a hands-off policy can only last so long before one of them yields.

I have been in love with the Riley family since I read book one of this series years ago. What I love about this series is that the family is not just centered in one sport but in a variety of them. From baseball to car racing to ice hockey to football and more. So that as you follow this lively bunch you don't get bored with the same "gameplay".

In this fourth installment, we have Cole Riley, bad boy wide receiver, who has been traded one too many times and his new agent (his cousin Gavin's fiance Liz) doesn't want the bad reputation that will be attached to her name if she can't turn him around. Everywhere he goes and every team he's being with the media is there to trash his name with blown out of proportion gossip.

Enter Savannah Brooks, an image makeover consultant. She has been hired to fixed Cole's image since this might be his last chance before no other team wants to pick him up. The problem is that Cole doesn't think he is the problem, the media is and he makes Savannah's job hard, but she is used to the type of reception she receives from Cole. She will not be easily intimidated.

The banter between these two characters and the way Savannah handled Cole had me glued to the story. The Riley's are a bunch of macho a-holes that are marshmallows inside thanks to the loving upbringing. I love all the family dynamics and how this is one big family that supports every one of their own no matter what they've decided to do in their lives.

The only reason this book didn't get a 5 stars rating is because of the narrator. I didn't want to judge the book because of my not liking the narrator (it is not the author's fault I didn't like her) but I still couldn't enjoy completely because of it.

Simon Says: Mine
by Cherise Sinclair
Series: Mountain Masters & Dark Heaven (#2)
May 25th, 2015
Genre: Erotic Romance
Format: eBook
Source: Purchased
Rating: 4 Stars

With an empty nest and divorce in hand, Rona decides it's time to explore the fantasies that nourished her through a long, tedious marriage to a man whose idea of outrageous sex was leaving the lights on. At the top of her fantasy list is touring Dark Haven, the BDSM club, but she isn't prepared for the effect of a powerful Dom. When Master Simon takes control and introduces her to toys and sensations she's never felt before, she realizes he could fulfil every fantasy on her list all by himself. But she's vowed to never get trapped in a relationship again.
One of the most popular Doms in Dark Haven, Master Simon has had his fill of eager, shallow, young subs. Rona is older, intelligent, independent...and sweetly submissive. After an evening of intense pleasure and despite her obvious attraction, she refuses to see him again. He needs a way to change her mind. She's not the first sub he's taken on a journey of exploration, but he's beginning to think she might be the last.

I felt cheated on this book. It was just to short! I need more, more I said...

Once again Sinclair delivers a well constructed story full of sassy subs and commanding Doms. I can't even tell you how good I find Cherise Sinclair’s writing. It is refreshing every time I open one of her books and read all this emotional things that Doms make the subs go thru but that don’t diminish the sub n any way. They are not portrayed as doormats or weak willed women but have positions of power in their jobs or are very outspoken.

In this book we get to go back to the Dark Heaven club and see what makes Master Simon tick. Lately for him every sub is just like any other and he is feeling lonely. When Rona walks into the club he starts feeling the excitement again of being a Dom.

Rona wants to explore the kinkier part of sex (or at least something more exciting than the missionary position) so she goes to Dark Heaven. She has made herself a list to follow and one of the rules is to never have a second sexual encounter with the same person. As you can imagine there is nothing a Dom likes more than a challenge and Master Simon is up for it.

Seeing Master Simon keeping Rona off balance is a fun, sexy, hot thing to read/think/watch. From the first “yes, Sir” Rona was lost to Master Simon even s she didn’t want to acknowledge it. I cannot wait to read Jake and Xavier’s books. They need someone to soften them up and who’ll take care of all their needs.
