     With each book in this series, I get more and more frustrated and wonder if I should even waste my time finishing this series. Which of course I come back with the response that I am one of those people that one started reading a book/series of the same character I just need to finish it.

     In this book, Rachel and Jenks go out of Cincinnati to help Jenks son, Jax and Rachel's ex-boyfriend Nick. As the book progresses Rachel gets into an emotional roller coaster that leaves your head spinning and with a huge desire to wack her upside the head.

     I have to say that I care not about Rachel and I'm sure I keep reading this series because I want to know what happens to Ivy, Jenks, Kisten and even Trent. I just know that it will be a while before I pick the next book in this series and I just pray I am in an excellent mood to read it.

     I picked this book up because I needed I book with a cauldron on the cover for a challenge and the second book in this series has one. I liked the concept of the story and I found myself at times engrossed in the story but Violet was just too annoying.

     She and her family have moved to a new place and Violet and her twin sister Cristal are starting on a new school. They are juniors in high school almost seniors. Violet and CJ are fraternal twins and CJ is the beauty of the two. So, of course, Violet emphasis this over and over again even though she says she's learned to leave with the fact that CJ is popular and beautiful and such, which we can clearly see she hasn't deal with that.

     Other than that I think this story has potential if the author decides to edit out all the whining and add some other elements or expand of the ones she's already presented like the romance or the history of the fairy.

     I will read the next book and I'll let you guys know how that one goes. Hopefully, it gets better.

     This whole grim reaper thing should have come with a manual.

     Or a diagram of some kind.

     A flow chart would have been nice.

Vamps in Chicago!

     You’d think headlines like that would have provoked the fine citizens of the Windy City to take up arms against us bloodsucking fiends. Don’t get me wrong, Joe Public isn’t exactly thrilled to be living side-by-side with the undead, but at least they haven’t stormed the castle yet.

     But all that will change once they learn about the Raves—mass feeding parties where vampires round up humans like cattle and drink themselves silly.      Several months have passed since the events of book 1 and Merit is ready to move out of Mallory’s house and into Cadogan’s house to better serve it as it's Sentinel. Like the first book, Merit is thrust into the middle of a vampire mess that she has no idea about but is her job to fix.

     This new threat includes an ex that Merrit didn't know as well as she thought she knew him and an old rival that will stop at nothing in the quest for vampire dominance.

     I am falling in love more and more with this series and although there are some things I'd like different I can't complain about anything Chloe Neill has shown me so far. One of my favorite characters (aside from Merit) I'd have to say is Catcher and every time he gets airtime I find him more and more kickass.

     The only thing I'll complain about this book is that Merrit didn't even give Morgan a fair chance to win her heart even with the little time they were together. Other than that I can't wait to read/listened to more of this newly changed vampire and all the trouble she'll get into.

     I was hooked with this book from the very beginning and I cannot believe it took me this long to read it. Shane and Josie go thru so much together and Shane has kept himself so distant from his wife. I think the best thing that happened to him was loose his memory.

     He didn't have the caution to keep quiet about his past and was able to open up to his wife and win her back. The story developed at a steady readable pace. The details of the past, the danger, Shane's memory recovery. It all was revealed slowly and with the exact amount to keep you glued to the story and keep your attention wanting to see what had happened to Shane and his mission and who was behind the attacks; every single detail of the story.

     I am definitively reading the next one. This book pike my interest on the other brothers and their abilities and their connection to the commander and much more.
