This knight in shining armor wears cowboy boots.
Patience was never one of her virtues. After her SUV runs off the road in the middle of a Texas blizzard and her cell stops working, Claire Mason is about to snap. Getting back home to Oklahoma with her four-year-old niece is top priority. And lucky for her, help comes in the form of a true Texas cowboy...
Levi Jackson has always been a sucker for strays. So he can't help getting involved when he comes across Claire and her little niece shivering in the cold. By offering them a place to stay until her car is fixed, he can make sure the two are taken care of - and get to know the sassy Claire better.
What starts as something awkward and temporary starts feeling cozier by the minute. And soon Levi is hoping he can convince Claire she has a permanent place in his heart.

It's been quite a while since I've read a cowboy romance and I can't think of a reason why I've waited so long to read more on this genre.

This book is about this woman named Claire Mason who after taking a detour from her way home had an accident and was able to find this cabin and hide in there out of a snowstorm with her niece Zayley. While there the foreman of the ranch that owns the cabin had to take shelter in the cabin too because his four-wheeler was out of gas.

Levi Jackson has lived his whole life at the Longhorn Canyon Ranch but he feels like something is missing in his life and when he finds this two "damsels" he feels a connection to them. He especially feels it with Claire and he wants to see where things go for them but at the same time, he feels like he might not be enough for her because he is a simple rancher with nothing on his name.

From the beginning, I fell in love with this characters, especially Zayley, and I think this is a heartwarming small town/ranch read that is for anyone looking for a light read. I really felt the connection between the main couple and their connection to the rest of the characters.

The addition of this four-almost-five-year-old cutie gave the story a connection that would have otherwise been missing. It gave it charm and a dash of innocence that was a perfect blend to make this story touch deep in the heart of the reader.

This is my first Carolyn Brown book and I will definitively be getting more from her, starting with book one on this series. I highly recommend you read this series if you like cowboys and heartening reads.
